MARI-Sense: Small Tracking Boat Experiment
This was a test to track and record underwater sounds of a RIB boat, an ROV and generally people at sea. We used hydrophones to record and to obtain all relevant data. The experiment lasted two days (May 26th–May 27th).
Initial, preliminary data was collected on Day 1 to test the equipment. Day 2 involved extensive data collection andthe recording of footage (audio, photos, video). This data can be used to aid the development of necessary ER tools to locate possibledangers and/or threats at sea at a later stage. This was an initial, pilot experiment.
